Secondly, we have also donated money to help UNICEF as well as 3 dollars to African Education Trust to help with this crisis. The money which was donated to UNICEF was more about helping children in Somalia whereas the other 3 dollars went to those in need for education in Africa. The money came from us spreading awareness and asking if anyone would generously help.
PROJECT
Our third and final project was to get in contact with the UN Council of Somalia (Sunita Marakumar) to ask her what she'd need to increase the growth of Somali Education. We are however still waiting for a response.
PROJECT
Firstly, as shown below, we have created an Instagram account. Our aim is to spread awareness about this crisis as well as, to persuade the public to donate towards organizations that contribute such as UNICEF, African Education, CARE, Help Yateem, and finally, Save The Children. In this social media page, we post pictures regularly of people in Somalia who are in the position of a lack of education. We also spread different websites of the organizations. As well as all of this, we upload emotional photos of people in lack of education. We do this so people can be inspired in helping the ones who are suffering.
